SUCCESSFUL UQR FOR AN ARMY DOCTOR

Grateful to be Honorably Discharged Through a Successful Unqualified Resignation (UQR)

I still remember the day that I received the shocking call from my unit regarding a supposed lack of participation. This was shocking because I had been told earlier that year that I had been transferred to the IRR. Later, I learned that my orders never came through. This experience was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. In my 14 years of service, I had become accustomed to sporadically answered phone calls, unanswered emails, and "lost" paperwork from my unit. This poor treatment flew in the face of performing admirably in two wartime deployments to Iraq and Kosovo. I decided that my time with the USAR should come to an end. I am a busy physician who has little free time to deal with the Army's red tape and hoop jumping. I had to find someone who could help me resign my commission

Luckily, I found Bill through a brief Google search. Right off the bat, I could tell that Bill was an experienced professional. I knew that he was going to be able to free me of my commitment with the USAR. Throughout the entire process of obtaining the approval of my UQR, Bill was always responsive to my calls, texts and emails. Bill took time to explain the process to my family and address their concerns along the way. He was also able to find the few people within the Army who cared about doing their job. Bill also has an adept sense of timing knowing when to push the right buttons along the way. Bill went the extra mile in my case, literally. He made one trip to the HRC in Fort Knox and another to the Pentagon.

In summary, I would recommend Bill wholeheartedly. In my opinion, it is nearly impossible to be successful in obtaining an UQR on your own. People, particularly physicians, simply don't have the time to deal with the red tape in this process. Also, most of us aren't familiar with Army lingo, processing and the dizzying number and types of acronyms and offices involved in UQR work.

My confidence in Bill is so strong that I recommended him to a personal friend of my mine who was experiencing similar tribulations from the USAR. Bill was able to obtain his freedom, too. If you are near the end of the rope in your dealings with the Army, just give Bill a call for his expertise. He is the right man for the job.

—Sincerely,
   MAJ Matthew S. Parsons, M.D.
